Each summer the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & TV at Tisch School of the Arts hosts a west coast showcase of award-winning film from our First Run Festival. The Haig P. Manoogian Screenings were created in 1986 to honor the memory of a pioneer in the art of teaching filmmaking. Mr. Manoogian who taught at NYU from 1948-1980, was professor of film and television and also served at various times as the head of both the graduate and undergraduate divisions of the school.
