Haig P. Manoogian Screenings at the Directors Guild of America – June 24, 2010

The Haig P. Manoogian Screenings were created in 1986 by the Tisch School of the Arts and the West Coast Alumni Association to honor the memory of a pioneer in the art of teaching filmmaking. Mr. Manoogian was a professor of film and television and also served at various times as the head of both the Graduate Film Department and Undergraduate Film & Television.

Films for the screenings are the finalists of the First Run Film Festival held in New York from April 8-11, 2010 and were selected by a committee of faculty judges. The finalists also competed for $54,000 in cash awards which were awarded to winners by a panel of industry professionals.

These finalists join past award recipients and participants such as Spike Lee, Ang Lee, Oliver Stone and Nancy Savoca among many others.
