Betrayed by his fiancee and utterly alone, a young photographer struggles to reconnect with his mother, who can't remember who he is. Unexpectedly, he finds hope when he reunites with an old friend whose life has also gone far from planned.
Wai Choy: Born and raised in downtown Toronto, Wai has trained in the creative and performing arts since he was a child. Throughout his life, he has passionately studied singing, acting, dancing, and playing musical instruments. In his senior high school year, Wai played the lead role of Narrator in the school's production of the musical, "Blood Brothers," and landed principal roles in the feature films, "Foolproof," and "Mean Girls." As an undergraduate at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Wai expanded his interests and skills to include writing, cinematography, producing, and directing. In May, 2008, Wai graduated from NYU with a B.F.A. in Film & Television Production and a double major in Journalism. Wai would like to express his deepest gratitude to the cast, crew, Tisch, and especially Ezra Sacks for the amazing support that they generously gave to "This Is Life." This film is for you.
