THE BEAR is the story of 12 year old Nathaniel Ford and his struggle to connect with a father who has become obsessed with a monster that has tormented him for years. A monster that lives beyond the treeline behind the Ford Farm. "THE BEAR" is a suspenseful story about the lengths a boy will go to become a man.

R. Jameson Smith is the founder of Park Bench Pictures. A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, he has written and directed films since 2005. His latest production, "The Bear" is currently making its rounds on the festival circuit. While at Tisch, Jameson interned for Academy Award winning director, Martin Scorsese. Jameson has several productions in development, including two feature films, and a sitcom pilot. He recently directed a music video for singer/songwriter Amy Allen, served as Assistant Director on "Out of the Shadows", a special for Discovery and Science Channels set to air in Fall 2011, and as an Assistant Producer on the feature film "Bluebird"€, Directed by Lance Edmands, Produced by Kyle Martin (Tiny Furniture), and Executive Produced by Christine Vachon.
