SEO YUN HONG was born in Seoul, South Korea. She graduated from Korean National University of Arts majoring in Drama and Acting (2000) and the ChungAng Graduate School of the Arts focus on Art therapy (2004). Hong eventually enrolled at the Tisch School of the Arts Graduate MFA program at NYU, where she obtain her MFA degree (2010) at the Kanber Institute of Film and TV . During school she received The Maurice Kanbar Scholarship (2006-2007) and won Warner Brothers Screenwriting Award for "My Mom's Son" 2007. Her Short, "TEAMWORK" has been featured in the 2010 Pusan International Film Festival and many others and winning few awards including the golden reel award at LA asian pacific film festival. She is now in pre-production for the first feature.
