The Kook centers around Fa, a gentle and unassuming member of an eccentric religious sect. On the eve of their scheduled mass suicide, Fa discovers that their leader, who appears to them as a hologram, is a phony. Her world turned inside-out, Fa sets out into the 'real world' to find the con-man, and save her 'family' from imminent peril.
